List of documents required for the performance of notarial acts:

I. Contract of sale of an apartment or business premises constituting a separate real property
- valid extract from the land and mortgage register
- document constituting the basis of acquisition (e.g. copy of a notarial deed, court decision on inheritance acquisition)
- in case of inheritance, a certificate issued by the Head of the Revenue Office confirming exemption from tax, payment of the the tax due, expiry of the tax liability under the statute of limitations, or a consent for the disposal given by the Head of the Revenue Office in writing. The above also applies when the property was acquired by donation after 1 January 2007.
- certificate to confirm that no persons are registered as residents of the property,
- proof of payment of property tax, annual fee for the leasehold of publicly owned land (if it is used under perpetual usufruct), rent fees,
 - identity cards of persons participating in the act (personal data: name(s), surname, parents' names, address, PESEL No., NIP No., Identity Card No. and expiry date).

II. Contract of sale of a real property (vacant plot of land)
- valid extract from the land and mortgage register
- document constituting the basis of acquisition (e.g. copy of a notarial deed, court decision on inheritance acquisition)
- in case of inheritance, a certificate issued by the Head of the Revenue Office confirming exemption from tax, payment of the tax due, expiry of the tax liability under the statute of limitations, or a consent for the disposal given by the Head of the Revenue Office in writing. The above also applies when the real property was acquired by donation after 1 January 2007.
- extract from the land registry with an annotation that the document is intended for making an entry in the land and mortgage register (issued by competent county or commune authorities)
- in the event that one of multiple plots constituting a single entry in the land and mortgage register is the subject to disposal, or when no land and mortgage register exists, an extract from the cadastral map is also required,
- certificate of intended use of the plot under the local development plan, or the non-existence of such plan for the area in question (issued by relevant commune authorities)
- proof of payment of property tax, annual fee for the leasehold of publicly owned land (if it is used under perpetual usufruct),
 - identity cards of persons participating in the act (personal data: name(s), surname, parents' names, address, PESEL No., NIP No., Identity Card No. and expiry date).

III. Contract of sale of a cooperative ownership right to an apartment or business premises
- valid extract from the land and mortgage register if an entry is kept for the right being transferred,
- certificate by the Cooperative to confirm the transferor's right to the property (in the event that the certificate is intended for making an entry in the land and mortgage register, it should also bear information on the land and mortgage register number for the plot and building in which the property is located),
- document constituting the basis for acquisition (e.g. certificate of occupancy, copy of a notarial deed, agreement on the transformation of occupancy right into cooperative ownership right, court decision on inheritance acquisition)
- in case of inheritance, a certificate issued by the Head of the Revenue Office confirming exemption from tax, payment of the the tax due, expiry of the tax liability under the statute of limitations, or a consent for the disposal given by the Head of the Revenue Office in writing. The above also applies when the right was acquired by donation after 1 January 2007.
- certificate to confirm that no persons are registered as residents of the property
 - identity cards of persons participating in the act (personal data: name(s), surname, parents' names, address, PESEL No., NIP No., Identity Card No. and expiry date).

IV. Certification of succession
- short copy of the death certificate of the decedent,
- Certificate confirming the decedent's PESEL No. (issued by commune authorities),
- short copies of vital records of all persons being legal heirs (marriage certificate for persons who changed their surname due to marriage and birth certificate for all others),
- will (if one has been made),
- other documents which may be of importance in order to ascertain inheritance rights.
